I want to share with you my why for this program.
Over the past several years I have helped 100's of Black women and Women of Color overcome trauma, overwhelm, and isolation through therapy and wellness services. I realized that many of the women I worked with shared 3 common struggles:
Confusion & "Stuckness": Knowing WHAT to do but not HOW to do it. Feeling stuck in their head when it comes to topics like processing emotions, setting boundaries, establishing healthy routines, or making a needed career shift.
Spiraling Guilt & Shame: Feeling guilty for not being able to be "everything to everybody", then feeling guilty about feeling guilty in the first place!
Loneliness: Feeling misunderstood and invalidated by the people you love the most, navigating the complexity of a healing journey alone and having no idea where to start with finding new friends in your 30's and 40's.
Can you relate to any of these challenges?
My clients were dreaming for a safe space to learn, heal and grow within community of like-minded women who can encourage and affirm rather than criticize and ignore.
I began to hear the call to provide a solution. A space that offered more opportunities for community building and access than are allowed within traditional individual or group therapy models.
As a group we will move through 3 portals for reflection.
Each portal builds on the other and will guide our forward movement into sustainable action.
